From their paws to their tail, you love everything about your dog… that is, everything except their incessant barking. If your furry friend is a little too talkative sometimes (and often at the wrong time), then we spotted a handy ultrasonic dog training tool that pet owners say has brought them shockingly fast relief. Think it can’t get better? Think again. It’s anti-shock and just under $30 on Amazon! That’s way cheaper than paying for another round of behavior classes — especially for what some dog owners are dubbing their “best purchase ever!!” comparing to “a magic switch” for how fast it works.

Designed to emit an ultrasonic frequency only dogs can hear, an audible beep you can hear and work as a flashlight, it’s a compact, multi-purpose tool that’s easy to use and carry.
“I have the yappiest lil dude, and this has been a life saver!” one review wrote.
“Within a couple takes, he started to get it, and started calming down. It’s made a huge difference, the house is quieter, and he even seems more toned down.”
So how does this thing work?
In short, an “ultrasonic” sound just means a sound that’s too high a frequency for humans to hear. Because dogs’ ears are more sensitive than ours, they can hear a range of noises that we can’t. As an “ultrasonic” device, this trainer emits a sound that inspires them to stop barking — immediately.
“I’m stunned at how well this works,” a reviewer whose dogs fence fight with their neighbors said. “One quick push of a button and it all stopped instantly. I couldn’t believe it. We have 9 dogs between us and they all shut up instantly and stared at me.”
According to the brand, the trainer works for the majority of dog breeds and has three synchronized sound heads providing ample sound coverage. This means you can send some “shhh” to your pup even when they’re not sitting right next to you.
“With 6 training modes and a 23-ft range, it works whether he’s barking at the front door or across the yard like a neighborhood watch captain,” one review said. “It’s compact, rechargeable, and doesn’t make me feel like a villain.”
While the trainer is branded as a bark-deterrent, some pet parents report it helping with other behavioral training, too!
Pet parents report that it’s helped curb jumping, biting and pulling on the leash during walks. “We also use it when they stray too far for our liking and they know when we press the button that they need to come back,” another user said.
The brand says a single charge should give you up to 30 days of regular use or up to 180 days of standby time. Users love how easy it is to carry, making it a consistent part of their routine. “Super lightweight, you can literally put in it your pocket and have it wherever,” one said. “It’s safe, which I love, no shocking him or harnesses. A nice gentle noise that gets his attention.”
Within the debate about the best way to train dogs (and the ethics of ultrasonic devices), many dog owners and professionals agree that sonic training is less harmful to pups than shock collars or other more punitive methods of training.
Rather than “punishing” your pup for barking, users say they see the noise breaking their dog’s focus on barking, almost “snapping” them out of it. Some even say the noise calms their dogs, helping them settle down from barking-induced “chaos.”

“We’ve been using this device during our training sessions & it’s worked surprisingly well to interrupt his behavior & redirect his attention,” one review said. “I’m opposed to anything that shocks, so I would definitely recommend incorporating this into your routine.”
There are also many reviews from owners who have tried more forceful training methods like shock collars, spray bottles and vibrating devices, saying this sound trainer was “the only thing” that worked.

“It works!! I was pretty skeptical. I watched a TikTok video of a mail lady that used it on dogs during her route. I have a neighbor who has 3 labs who bark any time I enter my back yard. They’ve also destroyed the chain-link fence twice and the owner has had to fix it. I was at my wits end being barked at constantly. The owners leave them outside and do nothing. It’s pretty frustrating. My spouse and I can’t even hear ourselves or each other during a conversation in our own backyard. I charged it up, went outside and here they come.. in full force, charging the fence to bark at me. I pressed the button and they stopped immediately and backed away. I don’t use it all the time. Just when I know I’m going back there. Such a relief!! I have even tried befriending the dogs and giving them treats every time I go back there. Nothing has worked, but this. THANK YOUUUU!!” — Destiny Sprague
“I have 4 large dogs, and they’re VERY well behaved… Until they hear the slightest gnat fart. 🙃
One barks, then they ALL bark, and the cycle continues until I’m threatening everybody with the chancla. 🩴🩴🩴
I was seriously about to lose my mind untill one day I saw an ad on TikTok for a barking deterrent device. Instead of risking TikTok Shop chaos, I came to Amazon and found one with better reviews. First off it arrived FAST. Like, suspiciously fast. 😂
I opened the box, glanced at the instructions for approximately 0.2 seconds, plugged it in to charge, and left to pick up my kid from school. By the time I got home, it was fully charged and I was READY for peace and quiet. Dogs started barking, so I gave the usual “be quiet” command… absolutely no success.
Then I grabbed the device and no joke pressed the button ONE time. Silence. Complete silence. They all stopped barking instantly. 😳 Now yes, they did scatter like roaches when you turn a light on, but they STOPPED. A few minutes later they started back up again, ignored me once more, and with one little press… silence again. This time they didn’t run away, so I think we’re making progress. 😂
Honestly, I’m just mad I didn’t find this thing sooner.
Definitely recommend reading the instructions before using it, but this little gadget has been a lifesaver in my personal jungle of dogs. 🐶🌴” — Cierra Herrera“I would give 100 stars if I could. I have tried everything from professional trainers to training classes to high value treats. Nothing ever worked until now. I swear by this thing. If you’re on the fence, buy it.” — Mom
“This has been a great tool. I have a reactive foster dog who is generally manageable with verbal and treat commands. But if there were to be an altercation, or he gets reactive beyond my strength, one press of this sonic trainer gives me a second to redirect him. It definitely stops him in his tracks for a second which is all I need to get back to our regular training protocol. Test using this before any emergency as I read that in some dogs it can heighten their state, doing the exact opposite of why you want. Obviously positive reinforcement is the way to go, but having this for back ups makes me feel safe walking my dog and a confident owner makes for a safe and confident dog.” — Ondabuena
“I was honestly skeptical when I first bought this bark deterrent device. I wasn’t sure it would actually work, and I was a little worried that it might be difficult to figure out. Thankfully, I was wrong on both counts! My Coton de Tulear tends to bark at people when she’s nervous, especially in crowds or unfamiliar situations. Since using this device, I’ve noticed a significant improvement. It helps interrupt the barking and encourages her to settle down much more quickly. It’s also worked well with my other Coton, which was a nice bonus.
One thing I’ve noticed is that it may not work the same way for every dog. I imagine it depends on the dog’s personality and temperament. However, for my dogs, it has been very effective and has helped make outings and social situations much less stressful.
Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s simple to use, works as advertised, and has helped curb unwanted barking. I would definitely recommend giving it a try! 🐾” — Mary Villarante
