Lauren Boebert Responds To Claims She Slept With 3 Staffers, 2 Of Whom Were Women

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) has forcefully condemned recent claims she had sexual relationships with three of her staffers, calling them “fan fiction” and a “salacious BS attack.”

Boebert posted a video on X late Sunday in which she blasted that accused her of having inappropriate relationships with “employees of the House who worked under her supervision,” including two women, and paying one of them $200,000 to keep quiet about it.

Pointing to the forbidding complaints filed less than 60 days prior to an election in which the subject is a candidate, she also called out the media outlets who reported on the accusations, arguing that those who published such coverage “all ran a smear and called it news.”

“It’s a scam, and you fell for it,” she said, before adding: “That’s right, Ethics isn’t even allowed to accept this garbage, yet all of you were more than willing to.”

Elsewhere, Boebert deemed American Muckrakers’ David Wheeler ― who filed the complaint, citing anonymous sources ― a “sloppy, desperate, obsessive hack” while arguing that newsrooms had failed to appropriately vet his accusations before running the story.

“This is more filthy garbage that reaches beyond me … I know that you’re more than willing to attack me and shame my household, but this is different and you crossed a line,” she said. “I hope you think about the impact that this could have on them and their families the next time you rush to print without doing a little bit of research.”

She then concluded her rant by adding, “To the rest of y’all, no, I’m not hiring.”

Boebert’s video came just hours after she released a statement through a representative deeming the complaint “reckless” and “utterly false.”

“This is nothing more than a politically motivated stunt designed to manipulate the ethics process, create headlines, smear me, and generate clickbait,” she said in part.

As for the allegations specifically, she added, “They come from an activist who has long recycled sensational claims, including numerous baseless accusations previously fact-checked as false.”

Boebert split from her former husband, Jayson Boebert, in 2023 after about 17 years of marriage. Later that year, the mother of four was escorted out of a Denver theater after she and a male companion caused a disturbance during a touring performance of the musical “Beetlejuice.”

She and Colorado real estate broker Kyle Pearcy went public with their romance last year. The pair drew backlash when they attended a 2025 Halloween party in costumes that made light of President Donald Trump’s crackdown on immigrants.

As the Colorado Times Recorder pointed out last week, Wheeler has made some eyebrow-raising claims about Boebert on more than one occasion without disclosing his sources. In June 2022, he suggested Boebert had once worked as a paid escort.

Clarice Navarro, Boebert’s district director from 2021 to 2025, was among the three staffers named in the complaint. Speaking to the Colorado Times Recorder, she called the accusations “entirely false, defamatory, and beyond ridiculous,” adding: “There is absolutely no truth to any part of this claim.”

Navarro’s ex-husband, Jace Ratzlaff, offered a more cryptic take.

“I assumed this would eventually surface. I’ll have no further comment on this topic,” he told Muckrakers.
