Choppers Drown Out Trump At White House Event, And People Can't Stop Laughing

Yes, Donald Trump’s decision to bar CNN, MS NOW and Politico from covering daily events at the White House is terrible news for democracy. But it has led to at least one moment of unintentional hilarity.

On Monday, the television press pool that covers the White House protested Trump’s ban against the three outlets by refusing to cover his activities there.

As a result, the president’s speech at the unveiling of a new helipad, unaided by news agencies’ audio equipment, was drowned out by helicopters.

Even Newsmax reporter Bianca de la Garza admitted that the instance of Trump being silenced because of his own actions ― and the copters ― was a sign that his attacks on the press were “backfiring just a little bit.”

The decision by the television outlets not to participate in the White House pool today in response to Trump’s self-declared “ban on the free press” will leave the most TV-addicted president in our history without major network cameras recording his every utterance and movement.
