We’ve all heard the term “multitasking mom,” which describes a mom who’s constantly juggling kids, work, household responsibilities, and everything else on her plate. While it’s often framed as a compliment, it can also suggest an unfair expectation that the mom should handle everything, when she probably deserves a little more help from the person who helped create the kids in the first place.
Now, a very apparent “multitasking mom” moment that was caught during the broadcast of a recent Giants game is going mega viral after the commentators called out the dad.
It happened at Oracle Park in San Francisco this Tuesday when the San Francisco Giants were playing the Minnesota Twins. So, let’s go over it, play-by-play, with announcers Duane Kuiper’s and Mike Krukow’s commentary … because there is a lot of it …

First, we see the moment the mom enters her seating section, carrying a stack of food containers, with a baby strapped to her.

As the clip continues, and the mom finagles her way to her seat, Duane is heard exclaiming, “Holy smokes, Mike! Look at this!”

Once she moves past the two people who stood to let her into the row, the man sitting beside her (whom we assume is her partner/husband and the baby’s dad) gets up.

Mike then says, “Well, if there is ever a true definition of a multitasking mother, that is the…that is the deal right there.”

After Duane chimes in to share his amazement, saying, “Oh my goodness,” Mike adds, “I think she is, uh, an Olympic champion.”

However, when the mom tries to sit down, it appears that the fold-down stadium seat keeps springing back up. With her hands full holding the stacks of food and the baby, she can’t turn around to pull down the seat, so she seems to be struggling to figure out how to sit.

Finally, it looks like she asks her partner for help, who lowers the seat so she can sit. While that is happening, Duane jokes, “Did I just hear that guy say, ‘Did you forget something?'”
As the camera goes back to the game, they both keep the joke going. Mike says, “Look at dad, oh yeah… ‘Did you bring the ketchup?'” And then Duane continues to mimic the dad, saying, “You know those little packets? Oh, they’re in your pocket, I’m sure.”

The camera cuts back to the couple, with the man already digging into his food and the mom still holding the baby. She does not open the food containers in her hand because there does not appear to be a comfortable way for her to do so.

At this point, there’s a brief moment of awkward silence from the commentators, followed by some uncomfortable laughter as they watch the scene unfold.

Still seemingly in shock, Mike says, “Well, that’s mom of the year, right there.”

Duane then goes, “Oh my goodness, are you kidding me?! She’ll be the last one to eat, too…”
The broadcast cuts back to the game, but Duane and Mike are still hung up on the situation, joking again, this time about the man complaining that his burger and fries are cold while they continue to process what they just witnessed.

As the camera pans back to the couple once more, Duane teases, “She just said to that lady, ‘I’m gonna smack him right in the nose!'”

And as the mom continues to hold the baby and her unopened food containers, Duane wraps up the moment with a simple, “Bless her heart.”
