President Donald Trump sparked criticism after applauding infamous far-right conspiracy theorist and self-proclaimed Islamophobe Laura Loomer as a “great Republican strategist” during a Friday night rally in Mobile, Alabama.

“A great Republican strategist, a great person, a killer when she’s angry at you,” Trump said, honoring her. “It’s a very terrible situation. Laura Loomer. Thank you, Laura. She’s great.”
Trump’s praise of Loomer, who is not shy about her bigotry and attacks against Muslims online, comes after she bashed the president on X for meeting with New York City Zohran Mamdani late last month.
“I’m pissed off. We work so hard to combat the radical left and the anti-American Islamic jihadists who work to destroy our country everyday. And for what? So they can be rewarded?” Loomer wrote last month.”There is never going to be any accountability. I realized that today. We will never see it.”
However, she seemed to patch things up with the president on Friday, as she even got the chance to board Air Force One.
Critics online slammed Trump’s giving of kind words and Air Force One access to Loomer, who also went on a racist tirade against a number of Black women in politics recently.
Former Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene pointed to growing questions about how influential Loomer is in the Trump administration.

“And look at the absolute SHIT SHOW his presidency has become with all time lowest approval ratings and the GOP on the verge of a midterm blood bath,” Greene posted on X. “That’s what Trump and Republicans get for listening to two time congressional candidate LOSER, Laura Loomer!”
