On the latest episode of “The Enten Scale,” Enten noted that the figure has jumped 15 percentage points in just two months, up from 52% in August.

He highlighted strong Democratic polling in states including Iowa, Alaska, Kansas and Michigan, while pointing to Republican candidates struggling with voters. Texas GOP Senate candidate Ken Paxton, for example, currently has a net popularity rating of minus 16 points.

Enten attributed much of the GOP’s difficulties to Donald Trump, highlighting the president’s underwater net approval ratings on immigration, trade and tariffs, Iran, the economy and inflation.

“I mean, these are awful,” Enten declared.

“These are atrocious numbers. These are the types of numbers on which Democratic waves are built,” he added.

If the results match current polling, Enten said, he expects Democrats to hold 54 seats in the U.S. Senate, compared with 46 for Republicans.
