Trump Hurls ‘Trash’ At Golf Course Case Judge In Wild Late-Night Image Dump

President Donald Trump on Tuesday urged a federal judge to “study” images of “Trash Island,” his nickname for a Washington, D.C., golf course that his administration is fighting in court to turn into what he argues could be a “world class” facility.

Trump — in a wee-hours posting spree — shared dozens of snaps to Truth Social showing broken fencing, flooding, piles of poles and log-filled dumpsters at the East Potomac Golf Links course, a site his administration has admitted to using as a dumping ground for debris from its White House East Wing demolition.

Hours earlier, the president slammed the “frivolous” litigation brought by locals against his plan to transform what he called a “broken and dilapidated” course into an “Island of Beauty and Success.”

The “trash” nickname marks the president’s second use of trashy language in just over a month as an attempt to justify planned renovations in the nation’s capital. He recently claimed that he inherited a “dump” of a White House, dropping a word he famously denied using for the building in 2017.

The image dump arrived after U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes used a Monday hearing to take on the administration’s plans to renovate the course, plans Trump offered a window into Sunday when he announced that the course would close for over a year beginning Nov. 15 to construct the “championship” facility.

Federal officials testified that they weren’t aware of such plans, leading Reyes to ask their attorneys, “Do I believe the president of the United States or do I believe you?”

Ahead of the hearing, Trump referred to Reyes as a “crazed lunatic” after she temporarily blocked the administration from cutting additional trees on the site in response to the felling of hundreds of trees on the ground, a move that officials claimed was part of an older plan for the site.

“There is no universe in which all of this coincidentally happened all at the same time,” Reyes said in court.

Reyes revealed in the hearing that she had been receiving death threats over the case, emphasizing, “I really don’t think that’s what the founders envisioned.”
