He ran around the bases, stuck out a “No. 1” sign as he headed toward home plate, touched his heart and looked skyward.
There was just one problem, though. It wasn’t a home run. Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Myles Straw had made a leaping catch at the wall.
Trammell eventually realized that his big dinger was actually a flyout. The camera followed him into the dugout where he threw what looked like a towel in disgust. The Astros eventually lost on Monday, 3-1.

One poster on X who shared the TV feed of Trammell’s goof called it “the most embarrassing moment of his life.”

“Still confused on how it didn’t get out,” Trammell said the next day.
But at least the home run trot practice came in handy on Tuesday. Trammell swatted a real round-tripper in a 7-2 Astros win over the Blue Jays.
