I’ve Had My Favorite Compression Socks For Almost A Decade — And They’re Only $10

I never expected a 14-hour flight from New York City to Nairobi, Kenya, to introduce me to my favorite pair of compression socks, but eight years later, they’re still in my weekly rotation. During my first trip to Africa, I learned the hard way that ankles tend to swell after long flights. So, when I prepared for my second trip, I made sure to pack socks that would reduce swelling, while keeping my feet dry and comfortable.

Back then, I didn’t base my purchases on product reviews. I saw a pair of multipack ankle compression socks that were simple and affordable, so I added them to my cart. I learned about their effectiveness on my flight and throughout the rest of my trip. Not only did I experience little to no swelling, but they also provided comfort during my long, touristy days walking around the city.

The nylon-and-spandex ankle socks have a classic design that does not resemble typical medical compression socks. That made it easy for me to wear them as I explored Nairobi. Thanks to the moisture-wicking material, my feet remained dry despite the sweltering sun. And the no-slip cuff prevented my sneakers from swallowing my socks.

Eight years later, these socks have traveled with me to many countries. I still default to them for my daily walks and errand runs. I’ve also purchased additional pairs over the years, but the originals are still intact.

I didn’t pay attention to the reviews in 2018, so they didn’t influence my purchase. However, today’s reviews describe these socks as perfect, highlighting their great value and compression abilities. Almost 70% of shoppers gave them a 5-star rating. Here’s what some customers had to say.

“These ankle compression socks are exactly what I needed. They’re comfortable, supportive, and discreet—great for daily wear without going all the way up your calf. I wear them for work and errands, and they help a lot with circulation and foot fatigue, especially since I deal with health issues like lupus.

The fabric is breathable and soft, and they don’t slide down or dig in. I’ve already noticed less swelling and soreness, and they hold up well after washing. Plus, you get multiple pairs, which makes it a great value.” — Emily Weaver

“There are so many choices these days on Amazon for compression socks……knee highs, ankle level, closed toe, open toe, various colors and patterns, etc. Some I have found to be good, and others.. not so much.

These particular compressions socks are among the best I have found on Amazon. They are well made, have virtually no seam in the toe area, provide the right amount of compression needed (as advertised by the seller), and are comfortable to wear both day and night if you want to.

The most outstanding feature of these socks is the ankle cuff is designed such that it does not dig in and leave marks on your ankles if you wear them all day, something that I have found to be an issue with most other compression socks on Amazon. I had earlier purchased some of this sellers knee high compression socks, and found the cuff on them to be equally well designed, which is what prompted me to buy these ankle high socks from them as well. I like them so much, I just ordered a second package of 6 so that have nearly a two weeks supply. I used to wear open toe ankle length compression socks… but these closed toe ankle high socks are better, less expensive, and all around superior quality.” — WaywardSand

These socks are life to my feet! I stand on my feet for 8-9 hours straight each day at work. My feet would hurt so bad. After 4 years of working for the same company my right heel started hurting really bad to the point the pain would wake me up out of my sleep. I was looking for some compression socks to see if that would help. I purchased these because it said it would help with plantars fasciitis which I believe is the issue with my right foot. The first couple of days I was a bit more comfortable. After about a couple of weeks I noticed the severe pain I was feeling each day was no longer there! I absolutely recommend these socks for everyone who works on their feet a lot!’ — Shaquetta
