Nothing proves a vacuum’s worth better than seeing how much dirt your old one missed. Just take it from this reviewer, who was blown away by their purchase of the Shark Pet cordless vac: “I thought my home was pretty clean until I replaced my old vacuum with this one. […] If you saw how much was picked up, you probably would think that I haven’t cleaned in close to a year.” That’s high praise for a lightweight stick vacuum! Well, good news if you’re in the market for a new cleaning appliance: This one is under $200 for a limited time. It’s 20% off its original price at Amazon this week and it’s going fast, so hop to it if you’re looking for a new dust-busting tool. The vac sucks up loose hair, pet dander, particle dust and more with ease, has a 40-minute run time and weighs a minuscule 7 pounds.

This machine is slim, cordless and only weighs 7 pounds.
The guy is a super slim and minimal stick vacuum with loads of features. It has a no-tangle brush head, an extra large canister that easily pops open over a trash can with a button press and automatically adjusts its suction depending on what type of floor it rolls over. LED headlights illuminate those darker corners while a crevice tool lets you dig into sofas and furniture. And at 6.9 pounds, it’s light enough to use one-handed and lift over your head to suck up those ceiling dust bunnies.
It’s apparently so good, you’ll question how clean you’ve been.
It has high praises from several reviewers who say it truly picks up what their older vacuums didn’t.
“I don’t have pets but I do my hair in a room that has carpet and my upstairs doesn’t see a lot of traffic at all and I am AMAZED at the dust it has gotten up,” says a reviewer named chelsea webb. “It got so much debris from my carpet, it makes me wonder if I am as clean as I think I am! […] BUY THIS!”
“I had no idea how much dirt, dog hair, dust, and other debris were being left behind by my old vacuum,” says another review, “until I vacuumed with this one time.”
And many reviewers really prefer it to bigger brands. Take it from one user: “Shark wins again, skip that Dyson.”
So many users also compare this to a Dyson, saying this model works much better than the aforementioned infamous cleaning company’s.
One reviewer lays it all out: “It’s lighter than the Dyson. […] The power head feels well, more powerful. It almost feels at times like it’s self propelling itself. […] The Shark is quieter. My pets don’t seem to mind it and I can hold a conversation at normal volume while using it. […] The Shark is easier to empty. This could just be a preference thing but I find the cup empties with a gentle shake and I don’t often have to pull anything out.”

“Although I am a faithful Amazon customer I have never written a review on here, until now!! I am beyond impressed with this vacuum!! I have a $600+ Dyson for my hardwood downstairs that I sometimes use on my carpet upstairs—- it is NO match for this shark product!!! I don’t have pets but I do my hair in a room that has carpet and my upstairs doesn’t see a lot of traffic at all and I am AMAZED at the dust it has gotten up!! It got so much debris from my carpet it makes me wonder if I am as clean as I think I am! Anyway, BUY THIS!!” — chelasea webb
“It was between this and the Bissell. I chose this because it had a bigger container. BEST BUY OF THE YEAR. I have a Dyson full vacuum cleaner that I love. But what a pain for quick cleans. I have two cats/two dogs and fur everywhere. When I first turned on the Shark I thought I would return it because it was quiet and didn’t seem to have power. SO glad I didn’t. It is amazing just picking up a cordless and spot cleaning. It has plenty of power, and when you need a boost, you pull up a trigger under the handle. This thing pivots beautifully and I can get it under all my furniture. I can do my hardwoods and the carpet in my room and have plenty of battery to spare. Game changer in my dog fur house. I love this thing.” — Katherine
“I thought my home was pretty clean until I replaced my old vacuum with this one. I had no idea how much dirt, dog hair, dust, and other debris were being left behind by my old vacuum until I vacuumed with this one time. If you saw how much was picked up, you probably would think that I haven’t cleaned in close to a year. Highly recommend. It’s light, easy to maneuver, obviously picks up debris quickly and efficiently, and sucks all the crap up. It’s also really easy to put together, charge, and empty the canister! I bought this during Amazon Prime Days, so I think the value is good for the money, but I probably wouldn’t have purchased it at full price.” — b3392
“I moved to a new home with LVT flooring. I kissed 4 vacuum frogs before I tried this Prince. I needed a dual carpet / LVT machine. I tried an updated vacuum with no beater bar. Nope. A Bissel had to go back because it was advertised with a beater bar shut off feature. Did not have that. A larger Shark model was too heavy for my bad back. I found a Dyson V10 on sale for $399 and grabbed that. That was THE WORST. I have 2 dogs and the dyson clogged immediately with hair wrap. To do LVT flors and carpet, you had to switch power heads from regular to “fluffy” over and over ….. or do all the carpet, then all the LVT. The dirt cup was so tiny. They had a small attachment for pet hair on furniture only. Evidently, pet hair removal required at least about $500 more. You are kidding me. So…. found this one. GREAT machine. It a blue light on the power head to show dirt like the Dyson. Love that. It did not have a wall mount, but the handle portion detaches with one easy button push and just slides onto the lower handle for storage, plus no need to mar the wall. Same type of push button dirt cup emptying. AND the dirt cup is more than twice the size of Dyson. Really lightweight at 7 pounds. Best part? Moves seamlessly between carpet and LVT by auto sensing the surface and adjusting the beater bar automatically. That works great. I read numerous articles that this model is recommended for LVT with the friendly beater bar material and the low speed for floor sweeping. It handled the hair of 2 Aussies everywhere with ease. I do wish the battery life was longer, but I was able to do my whole first floor that has 2 bedrooms without the battery going dead. There was still juice left. You cannot beat this vac for the price. Give it a go.” — Penn State Fansales
