This slim-fitting design may go through somewhat of a rebrand every so often – this season, you may see them described as “cigarette jeans” – but the iconic fit stays the same. It’s a style that can constantly be dressed up or down and paired with a variety of shoe types — from sneakers to a good pair of boots.

While super form-fitting styles may not be everyone’s thing, there’s room to play within this silhouette. Cigarette jeans aren’t always super “skinny” – they can be form-fitting without being uncomfortably tight and our favorite retailers proved it to us. Don’t sleep on Old Navy jeans. I have a few pairs from the retailer that are almost 10 years old and still look brand new and still fit extremely well. These high-waisted slim fit jeans from the brand come in regular sizes 00-30 in addition to tall and petite. I love these Abercrombie jeans for their stellar fit and quality. The name of these high rise jeans says it all — they’re the perfect modern skinny jean. Available in sizes 24-34, they’re completely form-fitting from top to bottom and feature Abercrombie’s all-day comfort stretch fabric.

It also has a three different inseam lengths — regular, tall, and petite. The material has 6% stretch so they’re made to really move around in without any discomfort.
