‘Best MAGA Event’ Led By Kid Rock Is Canceled Because Of 1 Trump Faction

A near-annual festival to be headlined this year by Kid Rock has been canceled by the organizer due to low VIP ticket sales.

“I am never ever, ever, ever, ever doing this event again,” Eric Deters said in an apparently deleted Facebook video, Newsweek reported Tuesday.

Deters, whose previous guests at the Freedom Fest included Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Candace Owens, blamed well-heeled Trump loyalists he knew for not coming through, the Cincinnati Enquirer wrote.

“When I put together Patriots Day Freedom Fest, I put it together with the game plan and the idea that I could pay for it with VIP sales of $1,000 from these 100 people that I interact with on a regular basis,” he said, per the newspaper.

However, only six actually bought tickets, he said.

Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) and Fox News contributor Joe Concha were also scheduled guests for the festival set to take place in Morning View, Kentucky, about 30 miles south of Cincinnati.

Deters, who unsuccessfully ran for Congress and Kentucky governor, ranted further at the wealthy MAGA set in a Facebook video on Tuesday.

He said the problem is not that rich people don’t like Trump ― they do. “The reason why they didn’t buy VIP tickets is cause they’re just not very good human beings. … These people value money more than anything else in the world. It’s sad,” he said.

Deters ripped the media for its interest in the event being called off while he accused it of ignoring the case of a spine surgeon who fled the country years ago to evade healthcare fraud charges.

“They’re trying to take a dig at me and other Trump supporters,” he said. “If you’re in Trump world, you’re used to this crap.”

Deters once reportedly called his gathering “the best MAGA event, no questions.” The event was first held in 2022, did not happen in 2023, but returned in 2024 and 2025, according to Newsweek. However, it appears to be on the permanent chopping block.
