He then rolled the tape of Rubio’s Thursday remarks.

“When President Kennedy announced that we were gonna put a man on the moon and return him safely to the Earth, no one thought that was possible, and we did it,” the secretary of state said. “We are a nation founded on doing what no one else dared to do, and no one else aspired to do. And at some level, that’s what this whole company, what UFC has been.”

Rubio made his comments while signing a partnership deal between the White House and the UFC in preparation for the event set to take place as part of the United States’ 250th anniversary celebration. The cage fights on the White House South Lawn are slated to take place on Flag Day, June 14, which is also President Donald Trump’s birthday.

Rather than add further commentary, Capehart opted to let Rubio’s words stand for themselves.
