“The numbers are laughably bad,” Enten said, adding: “They are laughably bad, but no one is laughing about these.”
Enten noted how, in a new CNN/SSRS poll. Trump’s net approval rating on inflation is currently -50 points. It comes as inflation remains high, and the economy expands at what’s been described as a sluggish pace.

“I looked back at every single poll before President Trump that asked about inflation and the approval rating of the president,” said Enten. “There has never been a president before President Trump who had ratings this bad.”
“Honestly, that is insane,” said anchor Sara Sidner.
“Laughably bad, you just don’t ever see numbers like this,” replied Enten.
Enten noted further poll results that played into the overall picture, with 70% of Americans believing the country is on the wrong track when it comes to tackling the cost of living crisis, and even 50% of Republicans thinking it too.
