CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten on Monday broke down how Hispanic men have pulled a big “switcheroo” on Donald Trump since his massive gains with the voting bloc helped him win the 2024 election.

The president, who won the group by a +10-point margin over then-Vice President Kamala Harris that year, holds a net approval rating of -41 points with the demographic, according to Enten, citing 2026 CNN polling.
“Down he goes into the Gulf of Mexico,” said Enten about Trump and the “bonkers” shift in support.
Enten emphasized that the president is “specifically” losing support with Hispanic men when it comes to the economy.
In fall 2024, the group trusted Trump more than Harris on the economy by a margin of +11 points.

The average net approval rating for the president with the group this year? -49 points.
The data guru later highlighted that the group’s pivot away from the president could have a “massive impact” on the November midterms.
Republicans won the group by an +8 points margin in 2024.
Now, Hispanic men are favoring Democrats by +20 points, per CNN polling.
“If you’re a Republican running for reelection, a Republican running for Congress in these midterm elections, and you think you’re going to escape the wrath that President Trump has now amongst Hispanic men, you are sorely, sorely mistaken,” Enten said.
