Trump Uses A 4-Letter Word For The White House That He Once Swore He Never Said

President Donald Trump on Sunday ranted about the “dump” of a White House he inherited upon his return to office, dropping a word he famously denied using to describe the building back in 2017.

Trump, in a post to his Truth Social platform, argued in favor of his planned renovations for the White House by claiming that it was in “very bad condition, both inside and out” before he stepped back into the executive mansion.

“Frankly, it was a ‘dump!’ Past Presidents did not take care of it,” he began.

“I love renovating it during my spare time, which is not much,” continued the president, who has golfed 136 out of 603 days of his second term, with taxpayers footing an estimated bill of $190 million, per didtrumpgolftoday.com.

The post from Trump — whose D.C. “beautification” efforts have been met with disapproval from locals — comes nine years after he bashed the “fake news” over a report that he once told members at his Bedminster, New Jersey, club that he frequents the course due to the White House being “a real dump.”

“I love the White House, one of the most beautiful buildings (homes) I have ever seen. But Fake News said I called it a dump – TOTALLY UNTRUE,” he wrote in a post to X (then Twitter) in 2017.

Alan Shipnuck, who wrote the 7,000-plus-word story that appeared in an issue of Sports Illustrated, defended his reporting on the “dump” quote after then-White House strategic communications director Hope Hicks demanded he retract it.

“I explained to [her that] it’s not a lie. The president said this in front of eight or nine members and staffers at [Trump] Bedminster,” said Shipnuck while appearing on a Golf.com podcast at the time.

“It was his first visit to the club after he had been residing in the White House. It was a moment of candor. Someone who was a part of that conversation relayed it to me. I found this person to be an extremely credible source on any number of topics.”

He described the “dump” quote as a moment that had “already passed into legend” at the course.

“It might be inconvenient for her boss and she might wish he didn’t say it, but it’s not a lie,” he said.
