Wendy’s, in a statement to Today.com on Wednesday, said it’d be reviving its yellow packaging after roughly more than a decade away from its trays and takeout bags.
Talk around Wendy’s old yellow cups along with its nugget and fry containers has bubbled up on social media over the years, with fans declaring it was “elite” and claiming the food “hit different” at the time.
The fast food chain said the yellow will appear at locations again starting later this month through early 2027.
The White House, in response to @PopCrave announcing on X that the packaging would get a revival, found a way to sandwich Trump into the news.

“Thank you, President Trump!!!!!” the White House replied.
The White House was reportedly hit with a community note which spelled out that the president “did not directly bring back” the packaging, however, such a note was no longer attached to the post as of Sunday morning.
Critics on X mocked the White House over the post, including one who jokingly thanked the president for soaring gas and diesel prices.
“It’s kinda hard to drive to Wendy’s when America has a fuel crisis,” another user wrote.
Journalist Aaron Rupar called the post “unspeakably pathetic” while another pointed out, “somehow trump has something to do with this.”
