Former Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), who was endorsed by President Donald Trump in his quest for a U.S. Senate seat, received the wrong kind of attention on social media Tuesday after a birthday message backfired.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Michigan’s next Senator,” wrote political operative Abby Ronson.
But it wasn’t the text that caught most people by surprise. It was the all-too-flattering image she posted, which was flagged on X with a “Made with AI” tag.
X users quickly spotted the enhancements and matched them up to the real image:
