Not-so-spoiler alert: He praised himself.

During a Wednesday meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in France as part of the G7 summit, a reporter noted that “we’ve seen European leaders interact very warmly with you at the summit” and asked, “Do you think they’re coming around to your worldview?”

Trump was ready with an answer that made sure everyone knew where he stood on this issue.

“I think they think I was right. I’m sort of always right,” he said, adding, “You know, when you get right down to it, I think they think I was right.”

The other attendees at the summit showed support for Trump’s tentative agreement to open the Strait of Hormuz, and the president suggested during his meeting with Modi that the other leaders now wanted in on his deal.

“They feel good,” he claimed. “Now all of a sudden they all want to be involved.” But he added, “There’s no reason to have them, because it’s pretty much over, but they all want to be involved.”

Trump then pointed at Modi and said, “He’d be involved if I wanted, but we don’t want to waste his time for his people.”

That’s because photos of Trump standing by himself holding up his thumb awkwardly while other world leaders conversed among themselves went viral.

Also, world leaders laughed to his face when he showed up late for a meeting and blurted out, “I’m the boss!” to his fellow attendees.

Not surprisingly, many people on social media didn’t share the president’s high opinion of himself.

“He’s sort of always right.” But what kind of an ego do you have to have to even make a statement like that? By the poll numbers, a lot of people disagree.
