When asked about how big a challenge the French will be, Haaland said: “Honestly, I don’t care too much. We’re through. And we managed to get through, which is incredible, so I couldn’t care too much about that game now.”
He wasn’t done telling it like it is.
“They’re probably gonna win against us,” he added. “They’re probably gonna win the whole tournament.”

While many players who have already advanced to the knockout stage might think the same, perhaps fewer would openly admit their lack of enthusiasm about the next pool match while conceding defeat. The match will decide the group winner, but Haaland seemed satisfied enough.

The Manchester City star has scored in 12 straight competitive international matches for Norway.
“It’s my specialty to score goals,” Haaland told The Associated Press after the match. “I’m just really good at scoring goals.”
But maybe not so good at talking up the next match.
A goalscoring machine.
