White House Tries To Troll Hillary Clinton And Critics Turn The Tables

The White House seized on the manufactured World Social Media Day on Tuesday with an attempted troll of one of Donald Trump’s oldest political rivals, but the post went somewhat awry.

The official White House account responded to a viral prompt from the X account UberFacts, which had asked: “Today is Social Media Day — What social media post will forever remain unmatched?”

The Trump administration’s answer was a throwback to then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s October 2016 post of a childhood photo of herself with the caption: “Happy birthday to this future president.”

Of course, Clinton went on to lose the election to Trump just weeks later.

While Trump’s MAGA supporters celebrated the White House’s jab, critics quickly fired back by sharing posts by and about the president that they argued were far more “unmatched.”
