Donald Trump Called ‘Beyond Repulsive’ After Remarks About Soldiers Killed In Iran

Donald Trump was on Wednesday slammed and accused of “putting words in the mouths of dead soldiers” who were killed in his Iran war.

Trump, ahead of the dignified transfer of four soldiers at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, told reporters:

“They are indeed great heroes, actually. They said, and they, all of them said very strongly, ’We can’t let, cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon.”

“They [Iran] won’t have a nuclear weapon, so we’re going to honor them,” he added.

Critics condemned Trump’s claim that the fallen troops totally backed his controversial conflict as “disgusting,” “shameful” and “obscene.”

Trump was ripped as “beyond repulsive” and “a very sick individual” and accused of trying to make political gain with the remarks, amid awful polling for him on the conflict that he launched in February.

At least 18 U.S. service members have died in the war.

It’s one thing to honor the sacrifice of fallen service members. And it’s common rhetoric to declare that they died for a worthy cause. It’s the Platonic ideal of malignant narcissism to just stand there shamelessly and put words into their dead mouths.

Putting words in the mouths of dead soldiers that were killed because of him. Pure human scum

— Matt Hibbs (@mattyhibbs) July 22, 2026

This man is beyond repulsive with his comments. What the hell, did they call Trump to actually say that? Probably more like why are we here fighting this war with no end because Israel ordered us to.

It’s disgusting and shameful for the president of the United States to put his words in the mouths of these departed service members. https://t.co/Ja5lpBEth2

He is using our dead soldiers for his political gain. Disgusting.

The president is just flat out lying about what fallen soldiers said, and this should always disturb us. https://t.co/jxFW0t3BOm

Putting words in the mouths of the dead is really inappropriate

— Dan Shevenell (@DanShevenell) July 22, 2026

They didn’t “strongly say” anything, they’re dead. What he’s actually doing is using their deaths as a talking point to justify a war built on “debunked claims” about Iran’s nuclear program.

That’s not honoring their sacrifice, that’s exploiting it.

— Human☮🇺🇸🇺🇦🇺🇸🌊 (@4HumanUnity) July 22, 2026

He actually outdid himself today. This is obscene.

They said that?
When exactly?
After they were killed in his illegal war?

— Jo (@JoJoFromJerz) July 22, 2026

It’s insulting that he makes up words and fake conversations of these soldiers that died in this stupid, self inflicted war. I pray no more brave soldiers die. God bless their souls.

— Jo321 (@lulu258bam) July 22, 2026

well this is easily the most detestable thing a president has ever said about us troops he had killed

— Andrew Lawrence (@ndrew.bsky.social) 2026-07-22T14:45:40.474Z

Just the scummiest person in the world. Should be banned from dignified transfers unless the families of the dead request his presence. https://t.co/fmJzCWr9sb

It’s impossible to tell on any given day whether #Trump 🤡 is gravely psychopathic, truly psychotic, or perhaps both. It’s a GD sad statement on anyone that still supports this feckless, criminal buffoon. Hate the left if you so choose, but WAKE UP!
