Donald Trump’s Campaign Adviser Has ‘No Clue’ Why President Won’t Let Go Of 1 Toxic Idea

Even Trump 2024 senior campaign adviser Bryan Lanza is puzzled by why Donald Trump keeps hyping his controversial White House ballroom project so much, amid damning polling among the vast majority of Americans on the topic ahead of the 2026 midterms.

On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Arena,” host Kasie Hunt asked Lanza why the president is “so focused on it, given the politics don’t seem to be good for him?”

“No clue,” Lanza bluntly replied.

“Well, I appreciate your honesty,” responded Hunt, chuckling.

Lanza agreed that “the politics” surrounding the building of the ballroom, for which Trump razed the East Wing, “do not appear to be good.”

“I don’t know why we’re still pushing on this one. I don’t, I don’t have… I’ve got nothing on this,” he added.

“OK. Well, there you go, the conversation can be wrapped up,” joked Hunt.

Lanza later sought to distinguish the difference between the construction of the ballroom, above ground, and the progress of which is held up amid lawsuits, and the military complex component beneath, which he called “critical,” and which is being allowed to proceed.

Lanza said the two appear to have been merged, and that he would have “sold” the ballroom idea to the American public in “a different way.”
