If you’re like me, then the best pairs of underwear are the ones you completely forget you’re wearing. I don’t want to feel a bulky waistband digging into my skin, fabric bunching up underneath my pants or anything getting hot and constricting as the day goes on. Basically, I want to feel like I’m wearing nothing at all. Total comfort is the name of the game here, and a lot of that comes down to the fabric. They’re made from 95% bamboo rayon and 5% spandex, giving them plenty of four-way stretch. These boxer briefs are incredibly soft, lightweight and breathable, enough that I’ve comfortably worn them all day and into the night without becoming hyperaware of them. Sometimes I forget I’m wearing anything at all (and I mean that in the best way possible).
There’s no irritating tag along the waistband, either, and the material feels remarkably smooth against the skin. As someone who is super picky about the texture and feel of my clothing, especially when it comes to what I’m wearing down there, that alone won me over.
The material is also moisture-wicking, which makes a noticeable difference when you’re wearing them for hours at a time. Plus, there’s an ergonomic pouch with fly that gives the family jewels some support without making everything feel overly structured or confined.
Despite how lightweight the material is, these haven’t turned out to be overly delicate. I’ve put mine through plenty of washes at this point, and they’ve maintained their shape, softness and color remarkably well. I wash them on a cool setting and haven’t experienced any noticeable shrinkage, either. They still feel nearly as soft as they did the day I got them.
I opted for a four-pack in black, but there are plenty of options if your underwear drawer could use a little more color. Multipacks include everything from dark blue and charcoal to lighter shades like lavender and mint green. Available in sizes small through XXL, the boxer briefs come in three leg lengths: short, regular and long.
And if boxer briefs aren’t your thing, you’re not out of luck. The brand makes several different cuts, including briefs, boxers and trunks, so there’s a version for just about every underwear preference.
I’m aware that I’ve got quite a lot of enthusiasm for something as mundane as underwear, but these might just be the best pair of underwear I’ve ever worn. So, don’t knock them until you try them.
Let’s talk price. A four-pack typically costs around $36, putting each pair at less than $10, and I’ve noticed they periodically go on sale on Amazon — as they are right now, for 30% off. Considering how comfortable they’ve been and, importantly, how well that comfort has held up after repeated washing, I think they’re well worth the price.
